New exhibition from 21.11.2025
The international Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition will be held for the 61st time in 2025. The Natural History Museum London has been organising the Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition since 1964 and presents the 100 award-winning images in an exhibition. In addition to the aim of setting new standards in nature photography, the competition is based on the fundamental idea of conveying the beauty and uniqueness of nature, its landscapes and creatures.
The Natural History Museum Basel has already shown six years of the exhibition since 2012. This year, the exhibition will once again be on display exclusively in Switzerland at the Natural History Museum. The new edition will be officially opened on Thursday, 20 November 2025. As an accompanying event, the museum is once again organising its own nature photography competition, Snapshot.
Cordial invitation to our opening ceremony.
